The Super Duplex Steel UNS S32760 alloy comprises of elements like chromium, nickel, and molybdenum along with nitrogen, tungsten, and copper. This makes it highly alloy super steel. This alloy has high PREN that makes it useful in aggressive environments. Its ferritic austenitic microstructure is also responsible for such qualities. It has about 40 to 50 percent ferrite that makes it workable in the annealed condition. The ferritic grade use gives high strength whereas austenitic grades use to give it corrosion resistance properties.
